The Nominees of the Founding Edition

The jury of the Founding Edition has chosen its nominees.

Forty films from twenty-four countries, chosen from the seventy-five films of the Official Selection, share 123 nominations: the 4U Grand Trophy and the programme-wide honours, the craft honours for direction, performance, screenplay, cinematography, editing, sound, music and production design, and the themed honours.

At most five films are nominated in each category. The jury now chooses the winners from these nominees.

The nominees for the Critics' Award, the Founder's Award and the six Audience Awards are announced soon, together with the date of the awards ceremony in Berlin.

Congratulations to every nominated filmmaker, and thank you to every filmmaker of the Founding Edition.
