The Shape of the Berlin Experience

600+ films. Dozens of countries. And now, just weeks left until the moment everyone's been waiting for.

For months, the BIUFF team has been buried in it — film by film, layer by layer — building the final First Edition list. The further in we get, the fewer spots remain, and the more real the competition gets.

And now the date is locked: the final selection is announced August 10.

If a film makes that list, it's not just an acceptance — it's a place in the first chapter of a festival built by people who've stood behind the camera and on a real set, not behind a desk.

From there, the road is fully mapped: Online Screening runs September 21–28, and Berlin Night lands October 17 — the same night the awards, including the 4U Trophy, are handed out.
