Oath. Betrayal. Curse. New York. The 1940s. An ancient ritual, that of Cosa Nostra. Before our eyes, a member of the organization becomes a "made man." Images that plunge us between reality and nightmare, between our world and hell. Unless, of course, they are one and the same place.

Collaborators since their high school days, Félicie and François have directed short films, music videos, and commercials. They also write projects for the big screen; alongside this work, François Rabes has authored two novels.

Realizing an artistic dream. Being driven by passion and a powerful desire to create images, to build an entire universe. Sweeping the audience along and making them pulse with creative energy. That is the driving force for any filmmaker. And it was the initial challenge for A FRIEND OF OURS.
But having a dream sometimes comes at a price. To quote a famous saying: "If you want to make God laugh, tell Him your plans." Because nothing went according to plan.
Our short film tells the story of that journey. Ten minutes that encapsulate two years of our lives. A film-within-a-film that pulls back the curtain to reveal a path strewn with both obstacles and wonderful surprises.
