About the film
Alvaro Ruiz, a poet living in the fifth region of Chile, opens his doors to us, revealing what it means to live as a poet. Through interviews and various daily experiences, literary influences, and his care for a bedridden woman, the poet's life becomes the foundation upon which we can delve into the mind of an artist/writer. The secret of poetry is unveiled, leading us to encounter mystery and miracle. This documentary essay is a way of remembering death and battling our enemy, time, understanding our limitations, and leaping into the unknown.

Rodrigo Tobar-Gómez
After several short films produced in the southern cone of Latin America and some documentaries as an editor, Rodrigo Tobar-Gómez (47) makes his first feature film as an auteur. His artistic career has evolved from a childhood talent for drawing and painting to independent audiovisual production, gravitating in recent years toward the essence of poetry. He is a filmmaker with experience in areas such as theater, music videos, and Video-art. He studied film in Buenos Aires and is currently developing film projects with various actors and cultural managers in the Litoral de los Poetas region of Valparaiso, Chile.
