Hot Cunt | reconsidering pleasure

Toti Baches (Lleida, 1972) is a Catalan filmmaker, film editor, screenwriter, IT Sysadmin and feminist activist based in Germany. She holds a degree in Philology and Media Studies from the University of Hamburg. Baches balances her career as a video editor for television news and IT Administration with independent filmmaking. Her work is characterized by a free fusion of docufiction and a steadfast commitment to breaking social and gender taboos.

I made this film because our society is saturated by commercial pornography, yet profoundly illiterate regarding real sexual education. After exploring menstruation in Red Cunt, I realized that female masturbation and pleasure are still weighed down by deep-seated guilt and taboo. I wanted to dismantle these barriers using radical honesty, intersectionality, and above all, humor. By blending real-life testimonies with the surreal hilarious comedy of anatomical organs in group therapy, I aimed to democratize the conversation about our bodies.Ultimately, I want the audience to remember the image of a clitoris, a vagina, and a penis sitting on a therapist's couch, arguing about feminism and desire. If viewers can look at that absurd, humanized depiction of our anatomy and leave the theater laughing, liberated, and a little less ashamed of their own bodies, then we have successfully reclaimed pleasure.
